More immunizations

Things started off as usual this  morning.  Nora was happy to greet a new day.

However, things changed once she got in her car-seat.  Her baby sense told her that today's Dr.'s appointment was going to be more than a height and weight.  Her carefree playfulness changed to concerned worry.

She got two immunizations today, one in each leg.  I felt guilty holding her in my lap since I was in on the mean trick that was about to go down.  Nora was smiling and drooling at the nurse who was talking baby talk to her.  Why wouldn't she?   The nurse was carrying on about how cute she was, and how good she was being, and didn't mention a thing about jabbing her in the thigh with a needle.

Her check-up confirmed what we already knew, she's growing like a weed.  She's in the 95th percentile for height at 25.5 inches and the 75th percentile for weight at 14 lbs even.  We began to be suspisious that she's bigger than the average baby when she started busting out of 3-6 month clothing and moving onto, into, and through the 9-12 month stuff.

Things seem to be back to normal though.  All the whimpering and tears wore her out, so she took a nap when she got home and seems to have forgotten the whole thing.

Thank you for taking photos and videos of little Nora. Let's plan a day trip so I can get more of that precious little girl!
